Learning to Tune

Everytime you pick up the guitar to play the first thing you need to do is tune up! It doesnt matter how good of a player you are, if the guitar is really out of tune, its gonna sound terrible!

Follow instructions to Tune your guitar

1. Tune up your E string to standard tuning. You can use the TUNER on this page, a piano, or an electrical tuner to tune up the Low E string. When you hear the E on the tuner and play the E on your guitar at the same time it should sound the same. When the pitches are off, you will here a pulsing. Then as you get closer and closer to the right pitch this pulsating should slow till it is all gone and the strings are the same.
